Welcome to bump
"A bright light on a grey day is our way"

bump is for people who like to pedal - simple.
The idea came into my head while "just riding along" past the site of the battle of Worcester.
A sunny day just "shooting the breeze" taking in the sights and sounds and thinking we are very lucky to have good places to ride. We have hidden urban areas to delight us and some great hills and mountains to explore a bit further afield - all accessible by pedalling.

So this is a web-resource for people who choose (or would like to) use a bike for getting to work, school, the shops, the cafés and just going for a "spin" and for those who seek adventure - you may be the same person - a bit like me. bump has other stuff too - scroll over the navigation bars to reveal.

B for British - Worcester - a British "best" is steeped in History, Worcester was where Cromwell's Roundheads defeated the Royalist Cavaliers and the ordinary folk had a say once more. 350 years after this famous battle, Worcester is now a leading centre for sustainable travel so join us on your bike riding in the battle to offset climate change.

U for Urban - Pedal power is simply a great way to get about, quick, efficient and when YOU want to. Worcester like many other towns and cities has spread significantly since it the old days of the civil war. Guess what, we are a bit crammed in and struggling to get about, what's that doing to our stress levels, let alone the environment and waistlines- so let's get out on a bike more.

M for Mountain- We're lucky, we've got the Malverns, Bredon Hill and the Wyre Forest nearby and within 2 hours a list of mountains as long as….. (well a long thing). Savour the time in those places - after a short ride you can feel as though you are away from it all.

P for Peddlers- One, two, three or four wheels, if it's human powered (maybe with a little electric assist for Red Hill) , then it's zero emissions. It's, fun, healthy, cheaper and more often than not it is faster getting across Worcester pedal powered than any other form of (ground based) transport. You can stop and go when YOU want to and make time just for you.
See you out there
Happy and safe riding.
